I am Derek and today I made my first holy commuion. My parents and Grandpa Gordon and Grandma Laura all attended.

Derek's first communion. Kevin is our son, daugther in law, Amar and Dylan and Derek, and of course Gordon and me.  

Bob, so happy and proud with me at the Brava Theater. Now that the party is over it is time for them to jump in their Magna (Country Coach) and start fulltime RVing. Looks like we will pull out with them on June 11th and head for Junction City, OR. to the Country Coach rally.

This is Gail Wilson at her Swan Performance in San Fransico, Brava Theater. The place was sold out and many of her friends could not get tickets. But we got ours and we are so glad we did. It was a fabulous performance. Her partner Bob Kantor provided champagne, cookies and candies after the performance. So glad we attended. 

A lot to do today!

Gordon is at Dylan's (grandson) baseball game.

I am home getting ready for Derek's (grandson) first Holly Communion.

Then at 2pm we get to finally meet Miriam (our sons Brents girlfriend).

Then at 6pm we head to see a concert that our friend Gail Wilson is performing. I am very excited about the whole day. I will post some pictures tonight.

This cute little town is in Auburn, CA. We spent the day sight seeing. Auburn was the first capitol of California, now it is Sacramento. 

Isn't this a beautiful tree, we saw this in Sacrament, CA. 

We took a ride in this fuel cell car. It will not be ready to go for another 10 years and affordable for consumers. We were impressed with the ride. 

I don't know if you can tell or not but this driver is playing his guitar while in traffic. Only in California. 

This is Junior's first time he held a rat.  

At UC Davis we went the physic/engineering department classroom and watched some experiments. It was awesome! 

Uncle Garrick is downloading songs for Juniors MP3 player. Uncles are great!

Saturday

Today we will spent with our son Garrick at his college.(UC Davis) There is suppose to be a day long picnic. It seems they are expecting some 50k people. We are taking Junior with us today. Then on to Union City area to be with our Kevin and family. The wedding plans are beginning to happen we have a date of May 12th and we then we are having a reception on the next day. We are excited.

On Friday we had to take another bike ride, this time we went right and passed by the Nimbus Dam, we have never seen all flood gates opened at the same time before.

Riding, picnicing, cards and a rest - what a day!

Finally with our grandson, Junior beat the pants off of us playing pegs n jokers. We are in Sacramento, CA.

My nephews James and Steven, we had a wonderful few hours together in Barstow, CA. 

This was our Easter dinner feast at the Escapees park in Pahrump. Awesome food! 

Just another beautiful day in Pahrump. It sure is pretty here and the weather is great! 

The cook a marvelous steak and egg breakfast cook to order. What a good breakfast.  

A steak and eggs breakfast and a movie and then we sent the kids back to St. George, Utah where they live. 

A day of Pegs n Jokers and other games!  

Neesha wanted to learn how to cook lasagna and what a wonderful job she did.

Today is a really nice sunny day here at the Escapees RV park where we have an RV lot.
Gordon and I are doing lots of cleaning of our shed and our rig.
We are very excited about our first grandson Mark (22) will be joining us this weekend. He is coming tonight and staying for one or two days. We have not seen him in at least 4 years.
We are still awaiting word on the date of Brents and Miriams wedding. It is to cold and rainy in SF area, so we will stay here until we find out the date. We love it here and the weather is much better right now.
We will be in SF area before April 29th because our friend Gail Wilson is doing a farwell singing gig in SF and we bought our tickets already. Very excited to see her sing.

Sunday Night!

Gordon and I spent the whole day in Las Vegas. It is so busy here with lots on construction going on. We will be leaving tomorrow morning and heading for Pahrump, Nevada at our rv lot awaiting a date for our sons Brents wedding.

So I hope this finds all our friends and family happy and doing well.

This was an accident we saw traveling the other day. It was a clear day with traffic moving just fine then it just happened. We were glad we were going the other way I hope the driver was ok but we never heard.
