We are Laura and Gordon Bornkamp. We have been retired for 22 years and full time traveling for 21years...we are still traveling for many months but by car and motels....a big change but we love our life and where we live in Pahrump, Nevada at the Escapees Park.

This sander was very heavy!
This sander weighed over 200 pounds. Gordon and I had to bring it up three floors plus the 30 or so stairs to the front door. It was very hard but we manage. We love working together.
Another trip of furniture!
I got lucky again at a garage sale and bought a 6 piece bedroom set for us.

Going to the dump again!
Trip number two to the dump. Most of this stuff in the truck was the rugs and padding. The padding weighed more than anything else. The weighted was 380 pounds.Gordon and I work very well together. I love working with him we work well together.
Camping in the formal dining room!
Yes, this our camping table and chairs in the dining room. I cannot wait to get a dining room set. I cleaned every nook and cranny in this room. It looks pretty good but I am not done yet.
Small bedroom on the third floor!
This carpet was really hard to get up too. The padding seemed like it was melted to the floor.I cannot wait to redo this room.
The hallway rug is up too!
In the old days they use to paint the floors. This was very hard work not because of the rugs but because all the pads under the rugs were stuck to the floors. It was such hard work!!!!

Our truck took his first trip to the SF dump!
We really loaded her up with the old cabinet from the kitchen, about 5 hoses, lots of weeds and other trash from the house.

Painting is what we did today!
We painted the ceilings in the living room, dining room and hallways. Gordon finished the master bedroom too. We are working hard but it is very satisying knowing that we are so capable and willing to work hard. L
Saturday Night!
This was more than we expected. The rug is about 30 years old and needed to go. BUT the padding seemed to melt to the floor - what a mess. Now I wonder what we will do next. Carpet tile, rug or just what - I will let you know when we know.
