More family!

Here we are having a great time together. Lauren, Dee Dee, Gordon
Miriam, Garrick (standing in the back) Lola (my sister) and me on top
of her and Brent standing up. We also celebrated Father's day with Kevin,
Dylan, Derek and Garrick last Friday at Garrick's graduation. It is really
fun having our family around.

Garrrck's Graduation at Davis!

We are extremely proud of Garrick's accomplishments. Yesterday we enjoyed
a day together with Garrick, his brothers Brent, Kevin and our two grandsons Dylan &
Derek. Gar got lots of green gifts along with a nice dinner out. We had a day to
enjoy each other and honor Garrick at the same time.

Bert gets a surprise birthday party!

Bert is 90! We were so happy to be invited to Bert's 90th birthday
party. Bert has so many friends but this party could only accommodate
60 people. We were a few of the people who were not family although
we feel like they are our family. Best friends Juanita & Gene, Fatima
(Bert's daughter) and Greg planned this surprise birthday party.

To me it was amazing all this man has accomplished in his life time. He
really gave to the community. He knew and worked with Cesar Chavez
to help his people with Civil Rights.

He is now such a quiet person who loves his family and baseball. I am so
proud to know him.

Juanita did the decorating. Good job!

A crown from Gail!

My dear friend Gail aka Bootsie send me a crown that is much lighter to wear
while working out. I have such awesome friends. Thank you!

I was sure this was IMPOSSIBLE!

When we looked outside a few morning ago we could not believe the size of this
truck backing up our street. He wanted to turn. You cannot see but there are
cars along the left side. But he did it. Unbelievable to me. Good job!

Here's where Maggi lives!

Lots of people ask me where Maggi is so I thought I would put her on our blog.
She lives at our friends house. We just spent four days in her, we also took her out for a ride. We are so excited about getting back on the road again.

We just passed the one year mark on June 1st. We have one more year and then we have the option of selling with some tax breaks.

Another sunny day!

Here I am first thing in the morning having my coffee and reading the
newspaper. We usually go on the second floor balcony for coffee but it
there was no sun. So off to the back. I love our yard and everyday it is
looking better.

A new paint job!

Here is where the bird cage lives. I think the elephant needs to go inside the
cage. Gordon had a great idea for the gold paint but the elephant????

My dumpsite find!

Yes, it is true, while dumping stuff at the SF dump I found this huge bird cage
I asked the fellow working there if I could have it and to Gordon's dismay there
it was in our truck. I put food in there and the birds go inside for a snack. Gordon
has since put a big elephant in there but not sure if he will stay there or not. Gordon
was had the idea of painting the cage gold so I did it yesterday when the weather was
perfect. I love it.

Just walking around town!

The first two pictures are the Farmer's Market on 24th Street. As you can see the lettuce looks beautiful.

The second picture is our walk at Stern Grove Park. Free concerts every weekend. Cannot wait to go.

Stern Grove

We love to walk for hours in different parts of the city. Sometimes we take Muni and other times we drive. But either way we walk for hours. On the 16th we will be having free concerts in this gorgious setting. Gordon and I going to pack a lunch and enjoy the day.

The middle pictures reminds me of redwoods up north from us. They are nice and live in the park.

Enjoying our yard!

As you can see we are still working on the backyard. A few more rolls of sod to go. I am on my computer on a nice warm day. I love it here WHEN the weather is nice.

Josh and Natalie twins baby shower!

We had a nice day in the park and Josh and Natalie twin baby shower. It was fun and I got to see a few people I have not seen in years.
Josh is my nephew. His mom Lynne and husband Alan are sending a few days with us. I'm excited.
