Yet another concert in the park!

It was a hot, hot day in every way at Stern Grove today. Hawaiian music was the order of the day.
2nd picture Junior (our grandson) Gordon, me, Rich and Laura, Dee and Joe.
what a day of fun we had.
3rd the park was filled with folks.
4th me at the park at 8am to save us our seats for the concert.

This a neat gadget Gordon made for our fireplace that does not have a flue.
So he made an airtight gadget so the cold does not come in. This house is 100 years old so why didn't someone think of this. Gordon wants me to put some beads hanging down so that when we use it we will not FORGET to take the gadget out.

A beauty treatment!!!

It is so fun having a sister to have fun with. We have done so many fun things since Lana has been here.

She decided a we need a mud facial. Lana brought this back from one of her trips to Mexico.

Lana got to get dressed and looking beautiful as ever. Her friend Angie picked her up for an over night visit. I know she will have a lot of fun.

Clean water to start cleaning the wallpaper from 19 years of smoking.














I could not believe it. We did a quick wash when we moved in but decided we
should would do a deeper cleaning but had no idea of the nicotine on the walls in the living room. I have only completed half the wall. More cleaning tomorrow.

After a long day of museums we took Lana for her first Vietnamese soup experience.
She loved it.

A sugar coach!

We could not believe that this coach was made from sugar!!! As you can see my sister thinks she's royality too. (we are what we think we are)

Dale Chiculy is the artist! We did not see the rest of his work because the line was so long we decided not to wait. I am going to see his beautiful blown glass art!

The Legion of Honor!

This beautiful building is the Legion of Honor, we spent many hours looking at so many paintings, sculptors and exhibits. Tuesday and Wednesday are free days to every person who can get there. We took my sister she really enjoyed herself. She is an artist herself.

Another beautiful quiet evening!

After a long day looooong day of going to the Legion of Honor and the De Young museums we relaxed with a cup of tea and what a movie.

Conservatory of Flowers!

This a beautiful place to visit. We go here every two weeks to see the pretty flowers that grow so big and beautiful.

Valet parking for bikes!!!

The people in San Francisco really try being green. There are hundreds of bikes here for the concert.

Bajofondo!!!

This is a very small part of the park. It was packed about 10 times this many people. Everyone happy and eating and dancing.

Stern Grove!!!

Stern Grove is an absolety gorgious park. Yesterday we walked to the park. Long walk and well worth our efforts. The band was from Brazil and it had to be one of the sounds I have ever heard. You can see them on "you tube" their name is BAJOFONDO.

Salmon dinner by Lana!

Salmon dinner with a brocolli salad it was a great treat and Lana made it all.
