We are Laura and Gordon Bornkamp. We have been retired for 22 years and full time traveling for 21years...we are still traveling for many months but by car and motels....a big change but we love our life and where we live in Pahrump, Nevada at the Escapees Park.

It is hard to believe!!!
That month after month we have been blessed with family and friends coming for a visit. Some think we are nuts (and maybe we are BUT) but we have enjoyed all our company.
We will really miss this house and the company when we sell. San Francisco is a wonderful place to visit. There is so much to do that you cannot possible be bored.
I am looking forward to our month long trip in October in our motorhome. We have not planned a route yet but it will include a wedding of two wonderful friends in late October. I have been making plans to visit with Nancy for a week long beading date. So grateful to have our son living in our house so we can go and not worry about all the work we have put into our gardens.
On Wednesday I am heading for Detroit to spend two weeks with my girlfriend, Diana. Diana is a good friend who lost her husband several months ago. I am hoping we can be a blessing to each other.

Memphis Minnies!
I looked on my blog in the first entry in 2005 and we were eating with Bob and Gail and it looks like we have never stopped. This is Bob's bbq joint!!! Wednesday is pastrami day. We now have a new 'FAVORITE" place for pastrami, we never thought we would find a pastrami sandwich better than the one we found at Super Burger in the Salton Sea but we did!!!Serious shpping!!
Gail did not even see the flash go off she was so busy buying for her niece Christmas gifts. She is a great Auntie, Nancy and I want to be adopted by her.PIEDMONT'S!!!!!
I have seen these legs a thousand times but Gail said, " you have never been in Piedmont's? So we spent hours and many, many dollars in there! They make there own jewelry and clothes. An awesome store.

John is looking really good too. They are on there way to there Alaska Cruise. Lucky them!!!!Cathy looks so beautiful!
Cathy lost tons of weight she looks so good. They were able to come over for a few hours for a visit. They got to see Nancy and Kit other friends they met along time ago.Let the party begin!

An evening in San Francisco!
Yep here's my wonderful husband sitting ion our 2nd floor deck in Hawaii I mean San Francisco on a warm night. We cherish these nights.....A boomer rang at our house!!!!
Gordon and I belong to a club called the Boomers. We have lots of wonderful Boomer friends. Many of our friends have come and spent days and even weeks with us. This has been some of our best memories.
Thank you to all our friends who came and played with us.
Tomorrow Gail and Bob will be here along with other good friends Nancy and Kit. I cannot wait to have this time together.

My new kitchen window!
This window was in h
orrid condition. This window had been locked because if anyone opened it - it would fall apart. As you can see the window has a gap on the right side. This would challenge Gordon. He needed to put in a new window and not have that gap. Well he did it. I now love the new window that opens. Gordon is so very wonderful.
