Thelma and Duane took us over to their daughter and son-in-laws house for dinner in Cadillac, MI. a wonderful evening so happy to have been able to spend time with them.

Pronounced past eze, something we keep seeing signs for so finally we tried a couple, not too impressed but they
were mostly potato wrapped in crust. I could not tell the difference between the chicken and the beef. Glad we tried it
but will not get another one.....

Thelma and Duane took us sight seeing yesterday.
It was a really fun and sunny day.

This is a must come visit kind place in the summer!
We are now going to meet up with friends we met
in Colorado for a week at a town called Cadillac it is a
National Park. Then we will meet up with other family
members. Can't wait....

Bed races, what's that?

I was so excited to be here on time for the National Cherry Festival,
it ends this weekend and we don't want to go on the weekend. So we
went yesterday. This is the bed races I kept asking people about
why they do this and the only answer was it was FUN and that is
good enough for me. A huge crowd gathered and everyone was
happy. There are several parades too, 3 in the week long festivities.
Glad we went.

Wow! The Elk at Gaylord, MI

I would think this picture was a phoney but I took it.....so I know it isn't.
We stayed one night at the Elks in Gaylord, right next to Elk viewing area.
There were other animals too. Beautiful day!

Casino time!

Dang these guys love the casinos. I got a free token and a free spin and I won $80 and I kept it.....

The Cross in the Woods!

We had a good day, we got to visit the Cross in the Woods where Diana's husband had a memorial stone. It was
good that Diana was with Ron's sister, Christine, us, and good friends, Andy and David. So glad we could
share this time together. One of Diana's friends bought this stone for her. A nice gift....

We were cold....

We had a great time on the 4th but can you tell we were cold.

Let's go elk viewing!

We went to Thurnder Bay Resort RV park and went on an elk
viewing ride. Saw lots of elk and it was fun!

We crossed the Mackinac Bridge yesterday glad the weather was good....
the Mackinac Bridge is one of the worlds longest suspension bridge.

No comparison to the Golden Gate in my humble opionion.....

After having the best weather ever we got to Michigan.....everyone here
cannot believe the weather is like this....BUT later on in the day yesterday
the sun was out a bit. Suppose to have good weather the rest of the week.
Not complaining.

Christmas in Michigan

There is really a town in Michigan and we spent the night there.....

It our birthdays!

Well you folks that know me know I have a birthday party when ever
I can. So as we sat down to dinner we just happened to mention that
it was our birthdays......you should of seen everyone's face when they
brought the cake..... that was fun and I had to drag Chris into the mix
too, I did not want to have a birthday without her. Fun!!!!
I loved it when everyone sang happy birthday to us......

Some time later in the week Andy and David are going to show
us their Hunt Camp. Living in this part of the country is really
different. We get to go to Andy's mom for the 4th.

there were beautiful flowers and a really nice walk/bike trail.
