Thursday, December 21st

We are at Fishermen's Retreat now. We will meet up with son Daniel for a ONO lunch. Then on for some shopping for me, me, me. My printer went belly-up so I will be replacing it (free)! We went on our hour walk this morning and it was really nice. No wind and the lakes here are nice to walk around.
Oh gosh, when Gordon got out of the shower he said, "WHAT HAPPEN TO THE COOKIES", I just stayed quiet and he looked to see if I froze some of them but they were not there. I had to confess, I ATE THEM. SO GOOD THANKS AGAIN STEVEN AND JAMES.

It is 26 degrees this morning at Steven and James place in Barstow, CA. Now we are on our way to Riverside, CA to spend a week with one of our sons, Daniel.  Posted by Picasa

When is the last time your cute nephews (Steven and James) made a huge batch of different, colorful cookies. Oh yeah I am sure I am not sharing......haha......Thanks, guys for a wonderful dinner, computer lesson, and card playing. A night I will remember for a long time. What fun! It was much better parking in front of your house.  Posted by Picasa

The Newest Plan - Sunday, December 17, 2006

Gordon and I are still in Pahrump, Nevada. The days are nice and warm but the nights are cold. We are planning on leaving here on Tuesday (12-19). We will be in Barstow for one night to visit with our nephews then onto the Redlands, CA., Fishermen's Retreat for one week (20th to 27th). On the 28th of December we plan to be in Yuma, AZ for about ten days then onto Maricopa, AZ to spend a day or two with our grandson, Michael who's birthday is on the 8th of January. His mother, Lisa is having a family dinner and party for him and we want to be there. Then we hope to visit sister-in-law Lynne and family in Mesa, AZ for a few days before heading to Quartszite, AZ for another 10 days or so.

Thank you for continue prayers for my daughter, Chyrisa, Robert and Charlie.

NO COMPUTER FOR AT LEAST 3 WEEKS!

Here we go again......
My D: drive is not working properly. It has been giving me problems for awhile. My warranty is up on December 9th and today is the 7th. So Gordon and I are taking this computer into the Las Vegas Best Buy Store. Here is some advise for other computer owners. DON'T buy a warranty with the store (ie. Best Buy) if you buy a warranity buy it with the manufacter of the computer. This is the second time Best Buy has had my laptop and they keep it for an average of 4 weeks!! This is not acceptable in my opionion. American Express would have bought me a new computer with their 2nd year free warranty if I did not purchase the warrinty from the store. OH I LOVE THIS, BEST BUY STORES WILL NOT MAIL YOUR LAPTOP BACK TO YOU EITHER, YOU MUST GO TO THE STORE THAT YOU DROPPED IT OFF AT.....

The flowers at the Bellagio were so beautiful. The ornament on the front right is filled with live roses. The bears in the back round are white carnations. Bellagio out did all the other casinos in our opinion, Posted by Picasa

Gordon and I are trying to keep ourselves busy. Today we took a 4 hour walk along the Las Vegas strip. It was nice. We saw this tiger jump on the elephant. Posted by Picasa

Las Vegas, Nevada

Gordon and I are sitting in our friends driveway. We were waiting for the spindels for our house in San Francisco to be completed. We finally received them today. They look so good. In San Francisco the estimate was $1,250 for 6 spindels but our friend Robert Larson found someone in Las Vegas to make them for $300!!!!!!!!!!! And he did a fabulous, yesterday Robert and Gordon primed them so when we go back to SF we can put them in. What a lucky break for us.

Life is not the same knowing that we will never talk to or see Mark again. My daughter is couping as well as she can but it is so hard for her. We know we will never get over this horrible tradegy in our life.

I am so happy that my sister, Lana will be spending Christmas week with Chyrisa, Charlie and Robert. She lives in Elko, NV and she will be coming with her daughter Mariah and husband Jeff.

We are planning to go to Pahrump, NV for a week or so. Gordon and I are not sure we want to keep the same plans that we had before Mark's accident. We feel so different now. So we will just play it by ear.
